Headers
Cosmic has a lot of different page header
styles. Eighteen to be exact.
We've also set the page headers up to be easily accessed and edited via RWmultitool so that you can customize them. In addition to making it easy to edit the page headers in RWmultitool, we've also included five blank headers that you can also modify with RWmultitool.

A trial version of RWmultitool is included with our theme thanks to Michaelangelo from MultiThemes.
Extras
You can get some extra graphics to use with RWmultitool here. These free graphics make creating your own custom header easy.
Sparkles
We've included the ability to overlay cosmic sparkles on top of your stock or custom header. You can choose from six different sparkle styles, or turn them off all together.
We've also included the option of locking them into place at the top of your site. As the rest of the page goes by the sparkles stay in place at the top of the page.
All major browsers, except Internet Explorer 6, support this feature. In IE 6 the sparkles continue to scroll up with the rest of the site.
Sidebar
Cosmic allows you to place the side bar on
either the left- or right-hand side of the page.
The theme defaults to the left-hand side.
Content
The content area for the Cosmic theme can be changed with a simple click of the mouse. You can set the content width to 400, 500, 500, 700 and 750 px.
You're also given the option of having a transparent background (by default) for the content area of a semi-translucent black, square background. The content area on the black background is slight less wide than that of the transparent background setting.
Menu
The menu for the Cosmic theme is a vertical navigation setup, located above the sidebar.
You're given three styles to choose from for the menu: Solid, black glass rectangles, translucent black pills, or solid gray pills. Each can be seen in various pages of our preview site.
You also have the ability to change the alignment of the text in the menu buttons. You can choose from left justified or centered.
Fonts
You can choose from a series of different
font styles to give your site a personal touch.
The fonts for the following areas of the theme can be modified independently through the Page Inspector: Title, Slogan, Menu, Body, Sidebar, and Blog Title.
You can also change the alignment of the site title and slogan as well as the menu items, as mentioned above.

Site Search
We've included a a site search option in
Cosmic.
To use the site-wide search you will need to be sure that your site's base URL is setup in the Site Setup pane. Without doing so, the search feature will not work.
Also note that the search feature uses Google to search your site. Your site must be indexed by Google for this search to return any results.
This site-wide search, when enabled, is located at the top of the site in a shiny, black glass bar. The look and feel of the search apparatus is different from browser to browser.
See-thru
When using graphics on your site there's now no need to match the background color of your graphic to that of the site. Simply save your image as a PNG with a transparent background and place it on your site. The theme will allow for transparent backgrounds in browsers like Safari, FireFox and Internet Explorer 7 that support it natively, as well as the stubborn Internet Explorer 6, which does not natively support these sorts of images.
File sharing
When making a downloads page with the file sharing option of RapidWeaver, you have the option of displaying a downloads icon with each file sharing item.
Quotes
If you use blockquotes on your blog, or elsewhere on your site, you have the ability to modify their look in Cosmic. You can choose a traditional quote mark style or a cosmic sparkles style.

The Cosmic theme makes use of RapidWeaver's Color Picker, allowing you to easily change the appearance of your site with a couple clicks of the mouse. We also provide built-in color schemes. For more information, see the Colors section below.
