A big adventure
I’m always looking for a way to make clean, classy themes that are not over done. I think this new theme really falls into that category. The Adventure theme is beautifully designed and allows you to customize it to your likes. This theme has some features that makes customizing its look and feel just a few clicks away. We’ve also added a blog design variation to this new theme that we’ve yet to see in a RapidWeaver theme, that we think you’ll really like — a columnized layout variation.

We're offering an updater application to automatically correct this bug. Simply download the updater below, and run it. The updater patches only the affected files within the theme. This updater also applies the fixes that were included in the v1.1 updater. Read here for information on that update.

After running the updater you'll need to quit and restart RapidWeaver. If you've published a site using Dashing you'll need to republish all your site's files to be certain that the update is published to your active site. You can see how to accomplish this by watching the following walk-thru video found on the Realmac Software site:

If you’re a power user and have modified any of these files internally within the theme, those changes will be overwritten by the installer. If you want to maintain your changes you’ll have to copy your changes and reapply them to the updated files afterwards. If you’re not a superdy-dooper power user there’s no need to worry about any of this mumbo-jumbo. Just run the installer and republish your site as directed above.
Note that we do not provide support for users who have modified their themes internally so maintaining your modified files are totally up to you, so be sure to make backups before running the updater.
This update is recommended for all Dashing theme owners.
Lime Updater v1.1

I have been working on the Bold theme for some time now. I’d begun the project before breaking my arm and came close to getting it done. Then I got slowed down by a fractured bone. I’m happy to say that now that the splint is off I’ve had a chance to get it all wrapped up and into your hands.

RapidWeaver Classroom has begun a new series of video tutorials incorporating much of the RapidWeaver Classroom curriculum that has been developed over the course of nearly two years. The Complete Design Demonstration series takes you through the process of designing a website from start to finish, using many of the different 3rd-party plugins and theme features such as ExtraContent.
The purpose of this series is to demonstrate the usage of plugins and other features in a real-world scenario, and to break-down designs that are seemingly complex into something much more simple. To begin this new series, you can learn how many of the pages at RapidWeaver Classroom were developed, utilizing 3rd-party plugins such as Stacks, PlusKit, Carousel, Accordion, Collage 2, EasyTube, and more.
The series has launched with 4 video tutorials totaling 45 minutes of content, and more screencasts will be added weekly. The Complete Design Demonstration series, along with over 170 other RapidWeaver tutorials, is available now to RapidWeaver Classroom subscribers.

Aging not-so-gracefully
For instance Chameleon, which is one of elixir’s earliest RapidWeaver themes, is one of our best selling themes of all time. But to be honest it is aging, and doing so in a not-so-graceful manner. This is true of a few of our themes actually.
While it is always great to have these themes out there for sale, what is not great is having aging products out there that don’t represent some of my best work.
So in the coming month or so I will be retiring some of the older themes in the elixir lineup. Perhaps one day I will revisit some of these designs, but in a more modern way, though I don’t make any promises.
Some of the themes of which I’m thinking of retiring right now are: Sprout, Chameleon, Ribbon, Toast, Organic, Antidote and Elements. This isn’t a final list so I’d love to hear your feedback on the Realmac forums here.
Pipe Dream Updater v1.1
We're offering an updater application to automatically correct this little bug. Simply download the updater below, and run it. The updater patches only the affected files within the theme. This update is free to all Pipe Dream theme customers and is recommended for all customers who are using this theme.

• Fixes a bug which caused the current menu items, which have been visited, to appear in black instead of white. This bug only affects the 1st level (parent) menu bars that use the metal style.

I have been working on the Lime theme for some time now. It takes into account some requests by users of our themes, including ExtraContent. This new theme, Lime, is a professional, bold design that is very good just any sort of site you can dream up. It is great for creating a business site, a blog, a portfolio a personal or school site and much more.

- Six content width options, ranging from 600 px up through 1,100 px. The default width if 900 px
- Ten header backgrounds, including the ability to use the RapidWeaver Color Picker to choose a solid color
- Eight different header overlays which allow you to better customize the look of your site. Overlays default to being not visible
- Six blank header overlays for use with RWmultitool
- Four header content / height options, which include the ability to use ExtraContent in the header
- Two additional ExtraContent areas (in addition to the header option). One is just below the header, the other in the footer.

The Gyro stack is an image slider stack that can create elegant rotating banners for your Rapidweaver site. With all of the debates about the future of flash on the web, the smart thing to do is use simple widgets that utilize HTML/CSS/Javascript so that your site can be viewed across all platforms, even mobile. Gyro does just that!
You will enjoy the simplicity of implementing the Gyro Stack. Similar to the Stacks Plug-in, the interface is intuitive and easy to build, while under the hood, its still very powerful machine. Gyro will hold as many images as you want and will dynamically build an elegant navigation ribbon. There are also 6 different ribbon themes to choose from out of the box that can be displayed on either the right or left hand side!

Notebook Updater v1.2
We're offering an updater application to automatically correct this bug. Simply download the updater below, and run it. The updater patches only the affected files within the theme. This update is free to all Notebook theme customers.
(Version 1.2 - Updated on January 27, 2010)
• Fixes a missing tag in the Index.html file.
This update also contains all of the fixes that were made in the Notebook v1.1 update as well.
For the expert level users, the internal theme files updated are. File that are bolded are from the 1.2 update. Others are from the 1.1 update:

Float theme update v1.5
(Version 1.5 - Updated on January 14, 2010)
• Fixes bug where the menu font defaults back to Lucida Grande for navigation links that have been visited. This update ensures that visited links do not change fonts.
This update is suggested for Float theme owners using other fonts aside from the default theme font in the navigation. This updater is not needed for users who purchase this theme after January 14, 2010.
This update also contains all of the fixes that were made in the Float v1.2 through v1.4 updates as well.

The updater fixes a bug in which the horizontal menu items that have been visited no longer show correct active menu graphic.

The updater fixes a problem with the default width of the background accents div container. The original theme’s background accent div wrapper was set too wide making it seem that the site was off-center when the browser window’s width was reduced too far.

Float theme update v1.4
(Version 1.4 - Updated on May 20, 2009)
• Fixes bug with site title where letters with descenders (ex: p, g, q, j, etc) were cut off on the bottom. This problem only showed up in Internet Explorer 6.
• Removes errant reference to an image file in the blockquote CSS styling.

Moving into the future
Recently Microsoft released Internet Explorer 8, which is a huge improvement over both previous versions (6 and 7). In doing so they've also announced that update notices for users of both IE 6 and IE 7 will be sent out via Windows' updater, helping to get these people using a modern browser.
Being that Internet Explorer 6 is about 6 years old now and no longer supported by Microsoft, we're dropping support for this browser with the release of this theme. What does this mean for sites designed with this theme? It means that the sites you design with this theme will display in IE 6, but will not look identical to the way the site displays in other browsers. It also means that PNG images with transparent backgrounds will look slightly odd, with a tinted blue background. Other than this the site will not look messed up or disfigured in IE 6.
We have been using Internet Explorer 8 in our testing of this theme and find it to be a huge leap forward for Microsoft, and we encourage all PC users to upgrade. You won't regret it.

Aqua Update v1.2 [updated x2]
Some users have been asking if they will need to install the v.1.1 update for this one to work. The simple answer is no. But if you want to receive the benefits of the v.1.1 update you will need to run the v1.1. updater BEFORE running the v.1.2 updater. I recommend running both myself.
Update 2:
As one user points out, I accidentally overwrote the v.1.1 update, so to make things easier I’ve added in the colors.css file in the v.1.2 update, hence combining both the v.1.1 and 1.2 updates into this one package. This updater is your one stop Aqua update.
I've made some more updates to the Aqua theme to correct some bugs found since its last release. All Aqua theme owners should grab this updater. Users who purchased the Aqua theme after April 14, 2009 do not need to install the v1.2 updater.

• Updates IEPNGFIX. This javascript allows Internet Explorer 6 to properly display PNG images correctly. Both those used in the theme those added in the users content. Latest version of IEPNGFIX is quicker it seems as well.
• Updates menu tab coding to allow for proper display in FireFox 2.0. Previously the tabs only displayed fully in Safari, FireFox 3.0, IE6 and IE7. FireFox 2.0 Now has no problems with them either.

Moving into the future
For Espresso's sidebar and blockquote we're using a method for rounding the corners that is part of the CSS 3 standard. This is used on many popular sites and services like Twitter and Apple. It provides nice, lightweight, rounded corners and in older browsers that do not support it it degrades gracefully to normal squared off boxes as to not cause problems for your users.

Float theme update v 1.3
(Version 1.3 - Updated on February 1, 2009)
• Fixes bug with header height in Internet Explorer 6. When Title and Slogan were disabled in the Site Setup, the header would collapse in IE 6. The height would remain the same in all other major browsers though. This has been fixed. For reference the Title and Slogan container 80 px tall.
• Fixes a small bug where the color of visited blog entry titles would revert to body link colors instead of the blog title color.
• Adds in several theme style presets. These are found at the bottom of the Page Inspector window in the button with the folder image on it.

Update:

This obscured custom backgrounds and would cover any logo placed at the top of the site. This bug forces a header area at the top of the site so the title / slogan container no longer collapses.
• Fixes a bug that caused the RSS feeds on blog pages to get intermixed with the tag cloud. This update redefines the containers which house these two items to keep them from running together.

Float incorporates a very stylish search feature into its menu bar. When a visitor to your site clicks the magnifying glass located on the right-hand side of the menu bar a search field will float up and allow them to use Google to search your site.

Color Variations
The Notebook theme makes use of RapidWeaver's Color Picker, allowing you to easily change the appearance of your site with a couple clicks of the mouse. We also provide built-in color schemes. For more information, see the Notebook product page.

Vanilla bug fix
We've updated the theme to fix this bug. We're giving you the option of how to update your theme.
You can either download the full version of the theme and replace your current version (instructions are included in the README file that comes with the full download). Full versions have been sent out via e-junkie for all Vanilla owners.
The second option is to use the update installer found here.
The updater installs ONLY the one file that needs to be updated (colors.css). This allows for any modifications you've made to other files to remain intact. It also saves you the trouble of reconfiguring your site after re-installing the full theme. Using the updater is the reccomended process.
Please note that your Vanilla theme must be located in the default themes location for this updater to work. RapidWeaver, by default, installs all themes here and would only be elsewhere if you purposefully moved it. If this is the case, move it back to the default location before running the updater.
This brings our Vanilla theme up to version 1.5.

All updated and ready to go
All of our themes have been upgraded, adding in, and updating, the few files that will bring them up to date for RapidWeaver 4.0.
All of our latest themes have already been shipped with the files needed and the rest fixed today or a couple of weeks ago when we sent out other updates.
The themes updated today all got updaters, which make it easier to do the upgrades. The updater only replaces the following files within your theme(s):
• Preview.Png
• Preview_Large.jpg
• Theme.Plist
All other files within the theme go untouched.
For the updater to work your themes must be located in the Library>Application Support>RapidWeaver folder located in your User folder. If you're unsure what this means, then you have probably not moved your themes or modified them. The updaters will only work with the theme installed. Without the theme it is useless.
Also, people have asked whether changes they have made themselves to their Theme.Plist file will get overwritten. Yes. This updater replaces that file. Be sure to back it up if necessary before running the updater.

Again, all of our themes have been updated for 4.0 or shipped with the needed files at their release. So if your theme is not on this list, it is already ready for RW 4.0.
[Update]: Many have asked if the updated themes will work with RapidWeaver 3.6. Yes. The new and updated files provided by these updaters have no adverse affects on RapidWeaver 3.6.
